We invite you to join our upcoming webinar, presented by Candice Alder, Registered Clinical Counsellor and AI Ethicist, M.Ed., Counselling Psychology (UBC) and Authorized CertifAIEd Assessor of AI Systems – IEEE

Candice will lead us through the core concepts of AI, its expanding role in our field, and the essential ethical principles every clinician needs to navigate this evolving landscape.

Meet Your Presenter:

Candice Alder - Registered Clinical Counsellor and AI Ethicist

M.Ed. - Counselling Psychology (UBC)

Authorized CertifAIEd Assessor of AI systems - IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers)

Candice Alder, M.Ed., RCC is a clinical counsellor and AI ethicist. She is an IEEE CertifAIed authorized assessor of emerging AI systems, the principal consultant at Synthetica, and a Teaching Fellow with the Centre for AI and Digital Policy's research group. Candice is the president of the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors and the author of Canada's first guideline for the ethical integration of AI into clinical practice, published by the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors in March 2025.

In her therapeutic role, Candice has spent the last 20 years working with children, youth, and families in public education, non-profit, government, and private practice settings in both urban and rural communities in BC
