Event Overview:

Webinar Description: This 1-hour experiential and clinically grounded webinar explores how creative expression can bridge the longstanding mind–body gap in healing. Drawing on a five-piece mixed-media art installation created following a spiritual transformation in Oaxaca, this presentation weaves lived experience, feminist psychotherapy, neuro-affirming practice, and somatic insight to demonstrate how art can access what language alone cannot.

Participants will be guided through the themes of each artwork, the psychological processes they represent, and the ways creative expression supported integration, embodiment, and emotional processing. The webinar concludes with practical, accessible strategies clinicians can safely and ethically integrate into their own practice—without requiring clinicians to be “artists.” This training is especially relevant for clinicians working with trauma, burnout, identity exploration, neurodivergence, and clients who feel “stuck” in talk therapy.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Understand how creative expression supports mind–body integration in healing
  • Identify psychological themes expressed through art following transformational experiences
  • Recognize when clients may benefit from non-verbal or creative interventions
  • Apply accessible, low-risk creative practices within a psychotherapy framework
  • Reflect on their own relationship to creativity as clinicians

Key Take Aways:

Participants will leave with:

  • A deeper understanding of how creativity supports mind–body integration
  • Increased confidence introducing non-verbal practices into therapy
  • Practical tools that require no artistic skill
  • A reframed relationship to creativity in clinical work
